American-born Bremehr currently lives in St. Louis, Missouri, where she received her BFA from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2014 and her MFA from Sam Fox School of design and Visual Arts at Washington University in 2021.
Bremehr has exhibited throughout Missouri
and in Pennsylvania, as well as featuring in many local publications. Her paintings and sculptures explore the nature of the female experience in surreal settings, focussing on what she calls “The social expectations of women and the resulting feeling of shame women experience when we do not live up to these social norms.” This sense of shame and self-disintegration is evoked in her work through oppressive,
surreal patterning.
