About

Sharon Golan is an art historian, curator, and the founder of Sharon Golan Art Projects (“SAGP”) and Gallery II, SGAP’s nomadic gallery. SGAP curates exhibitions and gallery events and provides advisory & consulting services to collectors.

Sharon splits her time between Tel Aviv and London, having lived and worked in both for most of her life.

Sharon is passionate about strengthening the ties between the Israeli contemporary art scene and the broader contemporary art world, creating opportunities for exchanges, and facilitating new connections amongst collectors, curators, artists, and art-lovers. Since earning an MA in the History of Art from the Courtauld Institute of Art in London in 2016, Sharon has spent her time cultivating relationships with artists, curators and collectors in London, Africa, New York and Tel Aviv.

SGAP was founded to stage pop-up exhibitions and events that will bring works by local and foreign artists together under one roof, showcase works by Israeli artists abroad, and inject new sources of inspiration from abroad into the Israeli art scene. Drawing upon Sharon’s long-standing relationships with galleries, curators, and artists around the world, and particularly in the UK and Israel, SGAP advises and supports collectors at all stages: from sourcing artworks through galleries, auctions, dealers and private sources, to shipping, framing, and installation solutions.

Gallery II is currently located at Moshe Maor 2 in South Tel Aviv. Its inaugural exhibition Homecoming, a group show featuring works by Israeli and international artists, opened in January 2023. Its second exhibition, Hallelujah, featuring works by Israeli artist Ido Gordon, opened on April 20, 2023.
